cast block broke where motor mount bolts to it?????

has anyone ever repaired this problem? there is 1/4" of threads left to bolt to.how far can i drill up on a 351 windsor before i get into the water jacket?  the original bolts only go in 1/2" anybody know if i can drill it up 1/4" tap and rethread?

happens to our figure 8 motors when the frame's get bent, you can buy an engine cradle that bolts to the block in ten places, and acts as your new motor mounts. kinda hard to explain, check out wecrash.com
