98 jeep xj transfer case 231

I just got my first jeep!
It's a 1998 cherokee xj with the I6 4.0 auto tranny with a 231 case. 8.25 rear axle
My ? is :are the front and rear t-case out put shafts the same?(spline and dia.)

I found a hack and tap sye kit that uses a front drive shaft from the xj,but if the shafts on the case are the same you should be able to just use the front yoke....right?
Saving the $120.00+ they want for a yoke and 6 bolts.
