I have a 02 silverado that needs outer rockers and cab corners anyone know how to do this for less than 1500 ? Or can help me do them
its a FORD thing you wouldnt understand

To have it done right, $1500 is pretty close to what your going to pay. As bad as those trucks rot out, your going to need the inner rockers replaced and coated as well. Other wise if you just through on outer panels and call it good, in about 2 years or maybe less, you will start having rust bubbles starting to want to pop back through, and you will be right back where you started.  See guy's just pop on quick outer panels on those and sure enough it will start falling apart again in just a few winter seasons. I would take it to a good body shop thats known for its good work, and pay to have it fully done right. Also talk to them and see if they can work a deal out with ya on the price and have them fully undercoat the full rockers back and front, and same with the cab corners. Good luck to ya man!

My rockers are not nearly like the others u see it has holes maybe the size of a dime by the drain plugs and the paint is chipping off the cab corners the body shops near me say I dont have to replace the driver side at all but I do need to to do both on the passanger side just was wondering if 1500 for just one side being replaced seems a bit steep to me was just seing If someone on here knew how to do it. Its a extended cab 4 door short bed

I know where I work we get $1500 per side to do it right and we won't touch it if the customer want's it done "cheap". The people that want it "cheap" are the ones that come back in a year or two and complain that the rust is coming back.

If there is any sign of rusts like bubbles then it needs to be replaced because they rust from the inside out and by the time you see it on the outside it's to late.
