grooving tires

Thinking about grooving the center tread bars on my gumbos to make them resemble a tsl... any tricks for doing this besides a tire groover? Thought about getting my grinder out and VERY CAREFULLY taking a try at it haha  applaudd

They said buy something you can afford... so i bought a FORD

skill saw with 2 blades set ur depth and go ;D

and an electric chain saw is good  with no oil  for the chain and no exhaust fumes either.

when  I did mine  I wire wheeled all the areas I was going too cut first  saves on whatever type of cutting tool ya use

i used a router as well takes about 30 mins to all 4 tires
gloves long shirt glasses are recommended

BAD APPLE

Ideal tire groovers are cheap you can get one on eBay for like 60 bucks and once you have one you will always have one for future tire grooving
no rest for the wicked

I used a multi purpose tool from harbor freight with a scraper blade, cut my 44hawgs with it an it work pretty well. A lot faster than a groover.

I tried out the circular saw method on one of my gumbos this weekend... Its very quick and very effective haha
