Rear coil springs

Hey guys I'm slowly kind of converting my truck to a "mega truck". This winter I'm planning on linking the rear and for now running coil springs until I save up some cash for some big boy shocks haha. My question is mainly about coil selection, looking to get some squat out back, any ideas on where to begin? Or a good company to purchase some good springs from? I'm staying on the smaller side with 1 tons and such, eventually I'll probably totally rebuild the truck. Just kind of trying different things out until I really like the setup of my truck.

Right now the truck is a 78 ford on 1 tons, 5.38s locked, working with about 400 horse. Current lift is about 6 inches, coil front leaf rear. Leaf setup is way too rough for my liking. Planning on going 3 inches taller up front then matching the rear setup to it. I have a lot of fun changing the setup of the truck and upgrading things. Just looking to get headed in the correct direction on springs and such before i start cutting and fabbing

doo you have a scale you can weigh the truck on ?  see how much is on the axles  front  and rear   front coils for a ford truck or bronco would probably  be a good starting point as far as weight  ratio     I got a set from a lift kit for a 99 er something ford  f 250 and there 24 inch tall  I thought  they would be a good starting point  for doing the same thing you are talking about

You will probably have to try a few different springs until you get some you like. If you want squat you will need some light springs. I would start with some jeep springs.

Yea I was thinking maybe a lift spring out of a wrangler or something? Im worried maybe a front coil will be too stiff. theyre soft up front but they also have a lot more weight over them up front.

Pull front half on, then turn it around an put back half on it. Then get the total weight. Go from there

yea I was kinda thinkin that. ill have to swing down soon its literally an 1/8 mile from my house haha

I ran springs out of a newer dodge 3/4 in the rear of my old truck worked great.

ya  should consider how much there going too take on the down stroke  also   if there too soft/light theres the possibility that ya will bottom them out  and that's ruffer than being too stiff and turns your truck into a slinky bouncing around and side too side
