I learned the hard way too, after pulling my ass out of 20' ditch after stuck pedal on first test run. installed kill switch right by hand and four diff. return springs. pedal is stiff but always returns now. good luck with rebuild. steel can always be repaired

i was taking my truck out for a spin today, and needless to say my gas pedal got stuck, and i totaled it around a tree today

damn sorry to hear that and glad your not to seriously hurt, rolled mine and had it rebuild in a month but my frame wasnt twisted, are you going to rebuild ?

Got a cab Today.I will pick it up next weekend. Comes with doors,roll bar and a aluminum dash.

Had that happen in my lifted sierra a few times. After a burnt set of brakes and a changed of shorts, I calmed down enough to turn the engine off key on so the wheel didnt lock. Took a few minutes to calm the nerves and think rationally. Return spring was weakining happened a few times I was able to pull the petal back. Than the sping snapped and stuck wide open. Was just trying to get it home. Very scary feeling indeed. I was on the street though with other vehicles. luckily I didnt hit anything. Glad you and the kiddo are ok for the most part. Bumps and bruises heal and steel can be fixed.
