chevy, they are way cheaper to build. you can get a 70's full size for cheap, get a lift for it cheap, and 350 sbc parts are dirt cheap and they make really good power.

chevy.. i have been around them all my life and my dad had a blazer and lifted it 18in for 1500 dollars and the parts and all that are real cheap like the guy said above...chevy all the way

I say ford But what ever YOU want  If you buy a bronco try to find and older one like 78 79 they are pretty strong to start they all wheel good just depends on how much money ya got and who ya now I can get ford parts all day long

it dosnt matter what you drive your always gonna have to work on it if you drive it hard. chevy have there problems and so do fords and dodges and everyone else.  ive had quit a few chevy trucks i beat the piss out of and they started everytime and took me where ever i wanted and ive also had chevy trucks that broke every 3 weeks or so and we unreliable as crap. but again it all depends on who dose the work and how you matain your truck.

im a die hard ford guy but everyone has thier own opinion. i have a 79 bronco that i woudlnt trade for anything. there are 2 facts that you need to keep in mind.

1) if you buy a chevy you will be working on it all the time. however, parts are cheap and damn near everywhere. i dont know any chevy owner that doesnt work on thier rig atleast onces every couple weeks.

2) if you buy ford it will be pretty costly to get it going, but they dont break nearly as often. parts are hard as hell to find in some cases and usualy pretty damn expensive too.

whatever you go with though, just have fun with it! its your rig, do what you want.
