Straps or chains for haulin?

We haul ugly loads daily! 2 chains 4 binders per truck... we use the big straps to hold lite stuff down.. hoods, doors, bs like that... i cant believe all the people that use straps, not safe IMO. More brave than i am !

aepends on what your haulin, light trucks are fine strapped down, rockwells and big blocks and trractor tires and transfer case combos start gettin heavy lol

i use straps and chains just depends wat i have but my truck isnt to heavy and i dont drive crazy...

 I tend to "over do it" and mega strap n chain mine down.

I use 2 Chains with binders and 3 straps.  Use my straps first to compress the suspension a bit, then chain the axles with front and rear with pressure. Once the chains are in, I'll crank the straps just a bit more. Seems to work. I did learn here though to use metal wire on my binders. Thanks for the info!

Thanks, I don't like to mess around with potential trailering issues. I've seen some bad outcomes and don't want to be a part of it.

 4 chains and binders  and 1 safety chain on the front  i wire the binders shut     ive always put my chains threw the pocket and hooked onver the top always thought that was the way to do it  but i guess ill have to look into it  also make shure the chains ya use are in good shape no ground down links  and have a heavy enough weight rating  for what yer haulin
