i wish that instead of puttin rocks in there they would open up some of the trails for the bigger trucks and fill in some of the ruts but anything is nice and im not complainin

same here they really need to fill in a lot of the holes.

With this grant I hope they step up there patrolling for people drinking while there out there. Its only a matter of time b4 some dumb ass shows up hammered and rolls his stock truck on stage one and the the right wings will step in and all over the project and shut it down. I see guys out there trail ridding all the time tipping back. If you wanna do it on private property and turn urself into a greesey spot on your own trail then so be it. But think about it twice when your at the mounds or any public trails for that matter. Where privlaged to have these resources. If your one of the dumb asses doing this STOP! before we turn into New Jersey and the state takes away all our public use orv areas. Now i dont want to complain about the rock crawl area. Think its great. But i feal that the mounds should have focused there atition to smothing out some trails and make a dedicated area for bikes and quads over a rock crawl area. Reason being. Thaeres lots of room out there for big trucks to play. As is for bikes and quads. But the big trucks go just about every where that the bikes and quads go and make it impassable or so rough its just not enjoyable to ride out there. Yes there is a croud out there allready in trucks and on bikes and quads.  An the rock corse is gonna draw new people.  But how many of us are gonna build rock rigs to go crawl at the mounds? The new ness will wear off in a few years and the few in the area that have rock rigs will sell them off. The rock crowd will be gone.As will the bikes and quads. So why drive off a crowd thats allready there to replace it with a smaller crowd thats not gonna stay. Just my thought. Now dont get me wroung. I think it's great that the mounds is getting these grants. I just don't think they need to spend money on something thats not gonna last.

Nah! Yea, the newness might wear off.. but I don't think anyone's goin anywhere.. I've been wheelin almost 30 yrs (holy crap)
and I see a big resurgence in the sport over the last 10 yrs.. the economy is gonna slow things down a bit but we're a hearty group of individuals.. and I believe that this is a good investment.
The mounds does get "Adjusted" from time to time.. both naturally and intended.. I can remember a few years ago when Lake michigan was only passable by the large vehicles.. now.. "most" vehicles can navigate it... it changes.
