idle problem

I recently did a headgasket on a 1989 chevy beretta 2.8 mpfi
when i start it up it idles extremely high any ideas
Vaccum?
IAC?  ??? ???

yes you've got a vaccum leak somewhere probobly a vaccum line that got over looked buit it could also me the intake gasket or throttle body gasket.

vacuum line off of throttle body... got a couple mixed around?   check vacum line runnng into car for heater controls also..

if you have not found it yet start it and spray around the intake and some of the line with card cleaner it will idle up when you spay the leak
