Add Limited Slip

Any idea what it would cost to add Limited Slip to the rear end of a 4x2 2005 Silverado 4.3L 5speed? I'm not sure if it's a project I could do myself or if I would need someone else to do it? I just know it would make winter driving much easier than the one wheel on the open differential.

since you have a standard 8.5 rear getting one won't be hard. installing it is pretty simple but you will require pressing new bearings on to the new carrier. no gear setup required though. if you don't know what your doing i'd have someone else do it for you that way you don't have to worry about being stuck with a pile of parts

awesome thanks, I'll have to find someone who could do it and has the parts, I got some unpleasant news last night so it sounds like now I have to put the idea off longer.
