Chevy Truck Drivetrain!!!!!!.

Was doing a little wheeling and the the truck just all the sudden wouldnt move. I didnt hear any loud noises or anything. The truck flexed really bad and then it wouldnt move. Its a 1979 Chevy SHort bed 4x4. 3 inch body lift and 35s. None of the driveshafts are spining and I tried messing with the linkage inside the truck and nothing changes. The truck will no stay in park either. Almost like the Transfer case is in Nuetral.

Any fluids on the ground? Were you able to move the linkage at all? Try getting under the truck and seeing if the linkage is disconnected at the transfer case. Or, disconnect it yourself and try moving it to get it bac in mesh.

??  busted  bell houseing   allowing converter to pull out of trany            if not a linkage thing      because of the flex.

its a 203

take rear driveshaft off and spin the t case while the truck is in park and transfercase is in 2 wheel drive see if it still spins then something internal broke

Does this have the factory column shifter, or an aftermarket shifter.  I've had blazers bodies flex so much it actually would throw the truck into reverse, it had a factory shifter though.  It happened twice to me then I went to aftermarket cable  operated shifter.

that could be it...  broken shift linkage from the steering column

Thanks guys I fixed it. I got under her today and found the rubber part of the trans line pulled off and it lost all the fluid. Its fixed now though. Thanks for all the help guys.
