wiring a second battery

as far as series wiring  the way it becomes 24 volt is pos to neg  pos to neg i wired my power inverters in my work truck this year and put in 2 batteries in the back and the main battery was still in the front  and ran them off of 1 alt  corey has seen it work  i never had any problems i ran pos to pos to pos neg to neg to ground   the rear batteries were ran pos from the front  to pos pos in the back but had to run rear batteries neg neg  ground on frame so your not getting a full 24 v
