not enough power

i just rebuilt a 410 modified ford motor and put a 600 holley on it but there seems to be no power when i mash the throttle. Its ok power,  but it wont spin the tires, the thing is that it did when it had the stock 2bbl on it and thats what i dont get i think the vac. secondaries arent opening, but any help would be appreciated.

how big are your tires and  what gears are in the axles.

and  im not trying to be a  smart ass  but  is it a  351 M  or a  400.

there 31's with 355 gears and yes its a 400 but board out

what kind of carb,     manual seconts     or  vacum.      is it  hitting on all 8.  or  missing

 its a holley 80457-s  they are vacuum secs. it runs great starting out, cruisin around and everything else but i know it should have more power than it does.

all most sounds  like a power  valve in carb.    hase it  ever  back fired on ya.   that will take a  power valve  out.    if you  push the  gas down real slow  everything  seams fine.  if you  floor it   it  like  nothing    or  big  pause

its never really ever backfired at all, when i floor it goes just fine but i know it should leave alot harder than it does it should light em up. its really frustrating ya know.

i  guess ill have to  see  ya at a  bog to tell.   teh  400  didn't  run like the  351M      

and it  mite  just hook and  go.    no smoke show  ;D

need a bigger carb. 410 cubes needs at least a 650 and thats being conservative. WOT runs requires more air and fuel then a 600 can provide

RD  took the  holly off and  put a  eldbrock  on  and it was night and day on my last bronco

Put a 650 double pumper on it!

Have somone press the throttle pedal down while you check to see if the carb is opening all the way.
I know it sounds kinda dumb but It happened to me once when I pulled the 318 out of my bogger
and put in a 440 and the cable slipped and when I took it for a test drive I could not believe the 440
had less power than the 318 untill I found that I was only getting half throttle.

second that had a small fire oops  and melted my acc. pump on my edlebrock only got 5/8 throttle changed pump wfo again ;D
