Well I cut out my rust holes and welded in new sheet metal and filled with bondo. I was just wondering how long I should let it set before sanding?

Crazymays77

until is dries 20-30 mins most of the time but depends on how u mixed it. wait until its completely dry

Well it was in my mother inlaws garage but the temp was probably 55 or 60 degrees tops with the heat on. I let it set for an hour and it was hard enough to drive home but I could still take a chunk out with a finger nail. I just went and checked it again and it seems as hard as a rock now...Will it cure ok in this cold weather? Should I try to sand it tomorrow or maybe give it another day?

homewrecker john

if it doesnt gum up on the paper you will be fine to sand it. Hope that helps

Bo Duke

Yeah if its not hard enough to sand in a couple hours your probably not adding enough hardner when u mix it
<br />Yes Its Fast..... No you Cant Ride it!

Alright thanks...I just tried a spot and it did not gum up on my sand paper.

be careful in the cold weather it could also be froze and not cured       just a thought?

Disturban

Yep I just sanded it and it was cured...turned out real good! Now I just need new rocker panels and it will be ready for paint  ;D
