?broken dip stick tube at block?

my dip stick broke and dont want to replace it yet. what can i put at the base of it to hold it tight and so no mud or water gets in? i have been using gasket maker but should i use something like jb weld? any info?

I would just fix it right... but thats me gasket maker should work
