So I replaced the head gaskets in my 1982 Trans Am and its running now but its burning antifreeze reaaaaallly bad. Antifreeze puddles up at the exhaust tip. BUt theres none in the oil??? I was told this is just the intake gasket?? Any ideas??

possible to be intake gasket but if you just put new head gaskets on the intake gaskets should be new to right ??? I would check the heads for a crack between the intake and exhaust valves or it could be the antifreeze got in the cylinder when you pulled the heads to put the gaskets on

Well heres the deal. I replaced the head gaskets and ran the car for a less than one minute. Then realized the heads were not torqued enough. So I took the bolts out and put molly rite on them and torqued them right. I reused the head gaskets but put new intake gaskes on?? the heads are steel so I dont think there cracked.

they could be craked if you torqued them wrong

Well the gaskets still looked good. BUt im not sure on the kind of head bolts. Its a built 355 small block chevy. I tighted the head bolts to 45 then to 65 and did the sequence both times.

Well I think what I am going to do is tear the the heads of and tear them apart and have them magnafluxed and shaved to be level if need be and then put new head and intake goaskets on againnnnn.lol. That should do the trick.

They get crushed as you torque them....its a one time deal with head gaskets....
Ditto...plus you need to use new head bolts!
