2way etiquette

ok nextel     i personally have always hit the button and waited for a a reply unless it was a something VERY important  but i know ppl who just hit it and start talking or hit it and if you dont answer they hit alert  (wich really bugs me)  i was just wondering if my way was improper etiquette  or if i was right i guess its justa  matter of preference but wondered what preference is

i  push the  button and  wait  for them to  say somthing,  what if  your  not  at a good place.  like at  work  and  you  don't  want  your  boss  to know where your  partying at.

yeah my mother has that habit. 2ways ya and says hello. then 10 sec later does it again. like u have the phone taped to your hand or something. i dont get good service in the house so i leave it were it works. both my parents will 2way ya and start talking. I have always 2way someone and wait for a response.

I prefer the beep and wait method..
we do however have some people at work the use the
Alert only method... I hate that..

i beep...   5 min later beep agian.. cause 90% of my freinds cant hear there phones over their exhaust...   if all else fails and its been about 10 minutes, i go to alert mode so the next stop sign they hear it goin off.

Somthing i dont like about 2 way is the dam speaker phone thing... like... im tryin to talk to whoever i 2wayed.. not everyone within 20 foot of them...

anybody know why you can hear 2way convo's clear as it can get with barely no signal.. but if you try to call them ya cant understand a thing?

When I had nextel, I would beep and wait. But their service started to suck  so I switched.

I like the chirp and wait. If it's imprtant and they don't get back with me in a couple minutes I'll alert them. My phone is always on vibrate cause I can't hear anyway. I hate it when people just start yelling into the phone without giving you a chance to answer. My buddy number 1 called my other buddy number 2 spewing a bunch of "Hey you SOB, where the f@#k are  ya' you ba$tard!" Turns out, buddy number 2 was in the middle of dinner at a VERY nice restaurant with his future in-laws. Yeah, reason #2 I leave mine on vibrate. Never had a problem with service though. I hate Sprints new Nextel plans so I'll never change mine. 1,000 anytime minutes and unlimited everything else for $54.99/ month.

dam i got ripped off... lol. i got unlimited data (2way,text, net, gps), "free" (charge up the arse for but dosnt count against ur minutes) nights and weekends, and 450 min a month, they chargin me 75$ a month after insurance.

but as far as service go, im happy, works everywhere, when ever i need it.

nope but it is always with me. i try not to go anywhere without it. but sometimes i do want to throw it. cuz it seems my parents call when i'm always busy and they dont understand i dont want to talk right now. i try not to talk on it on the road much. or if i have to i have bluetooth headset also.
