can you jb weld a piston ???  do you think it would hold ???  it is just alittle part of the side at the top.

Crazymays77

it might work but would not do it cuz it gets really hot in there and i dont think jb weld its made for high heat. just my thoughts.

the ones that r open on saturday's don't have anything.  I was hoping to get this done and running this weekend.  If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

thanx I'll want to check around locally first, but I got the $238.00 out of the summit book a budy gave me must have been hi-performance or something.

You could try tig welding the old one...that would depend on what is exactly wrong with it. If it just has a little chunk out of the top I would try it and then machine the weld with a dremel tool or something.

Not saying u cant but be careful if u do, u might throw the whole motor out of balance and just rattle it self apart again....

a buddy just called me I can get a new oem replacment for $29.00 + tax on monday.

so does n  e  one know about how much it cost to have a wrist pin pressed out and put in a new piston head ???

Crazymays77

shouldnt be that muxh to do that i would say less than 20 bucks

Bowtie972

I wouldnt put it on a piston but JB weld will hold to Exhaust heat.   I filled the A.I.R. injection ports on a Exhaust manifold on  my sisters old Bonneville with JB weld , let it set up 24 hours, worked for years with no leaks.
