GM steering box...

in my 83 burban...

turns all the way left no problem.. but does not turn right at ALL..

tires off and it still doesnt turn right... pitman arm is on there the only way it goes..

==dunno ... sounds like it might have a dodge steering box on it...

what happens when you try and turn right? stops? how many turns on the wheel do you get from where it stops to all the way left?

im getting a full 3 turns outta the wheel like i should be.... 1 1/2 in each direction... takes a while for it to go left, doesnt go right at all.. steering box is probably junk

found it, steeringbox was ripped halfway off the frame. yeahh

82 scrambler ,blazer frame ,small block.It runs everything from 33's-44's....83 cj7.full size chevy axles..48 inch terra tires.. 83 cj7... purple. 350 chevy toyota axles,37 inch boggers..have fun and keep the rubber side down.. Swampy

you can either cut off a section of the frame from another Chevy and weld it over your existiing, or Off-Road Design makes a nice plate to weld on.

In need of a yank strap?  PM me... I have 'em!

thought about it but not for $130!!!, might just axle swap and run hydro, still dont know yet :)

Just making sure you know your options.  I would still brace the area up no matter what.
