I was just wondering why some of you are running / or thinking of running tractor tires ???  And are they really better than mud tires (boggers, monster mudders, ground hawgs ect...)

Bo Duke

biggest reason is, the bigger sizes, and V treads do real well off road.

Why tractor tires? Why not? Kinda hard to find boggers, monster mudders, ground hawgs that are 50 or 60 inches tall. They will go through anything! Not my taste however...I would prefer some 44" boggers and enough horsepower to spin the p00 out of them on dry pavement  ==rocks

Oh and PS if you are still questioning why just follow Mudman around through some swamp land ==roll

Boggerram87

They do have the 54" Bogger now but at like $750 each....ouch!!! mines a on-off road truck so i gotta stick to DOT tires but a sure wouldnt mind some v treads, they sure look tough!

i always figured it was cuz mud has solid ground somewhere down there... big skinny tire gonna sink right down and drive on the solid ground under all the mud..    but i dunno ==dunno ???

1. expense - you can find them for a decent price at old farms and such
2. tread - they have like 3 inches of tread and they work good
3. size - tall and skinny works good, ive never seen skinny 44" boggers

I'm running 11.2/16 tractor tires, have you ever seen any other 35 inch tire with almost 2 inches of tread depth? They are just really sweet tires. The other advantage is the very wide gaps between the lugs, even cut boggers aren't even close. With tractor tires you are either going forward, or digging to china, but never spinning tires full of mud going nowhere.

TRACTION TRACTION TRACTION!!! They are mainly mud tires, not as good for trail riding and such. So, it depends on what you're doing with the truck whether or not they're for you. Me, HELL YEAH!!!

I think the real question is, why not have tractor tires? It is pretty cool to have your truck or whatever lifted up so you can fit some nice 60" tires under there. I don't have or ever plan on getting my truck ever to that point.

truth be told they just look cool  ==beavis
