I had a surprise waiting in my jeep this morning, some dumb kid egged another one of my trucks. They got it right in the drivers speaker under the windshield, then while spraying it out, I sprayed right through the speaker.

What the hell is up with kids these days, this is the 3rd truck to get egged in about a month. First my F150 which wasnt a big deal, just scrape and repaint no cleaning necessary. Then my DD that is a nice clean explorer. And now my jeep? Getting close to the point that when I find/see them doing it, they are gonna get hurt.

When I was a kid, I would get beat if I ever did that. I had respect for other peoples property. People around my area obviously need to give proper disapline!

I got some new parts, I got a... Winshield frame with glass and wiper motors, a tailgate, and both Fenders and all that for $180. I am gonna clean up all teh of the parts that I have off of the truck and paint them the color I want the jeep to be oh and take the hood off and do that too.

I also did more cutting and welding and redid the bottom of the tub side with a piece of angle iron.

Got a couple of plates in, one fully welded in and the other tacked in. The welds look like

but they hold and will look fine once they are ground down.

Well I got most of the drivers side of the tub nearly smoothed out, gonna do a touch up on the smoothing tomorrow so it will be pretty much ready on that side.

Cleaned up the new grille and primed, painted and cleared it. So it is ready to get all the misc stuff put on once I finish the tub and get the fenders ready.
And today I stripped the windshield frame, got that all primed painted and cleared. Now I have to get some seals and put my old glass in this frame.
I hope to be done with the body by the 14th, I have a whole week of vacation to work on this.

I got the front of the tub all smoothed out to my liking and got it painted yesterday

Got more done today, tomorrow I have two spots on the rear wheel well and the fender plus smoothing everything out. So I am pretty confident that the drivers side will be done tomorrow as long as its nice out.

My welds have definitly improved, still got a little ways to go though.

Well I did a ton of work today, I finished the rest of the body work on the drivers side and painted n' clear coated that side. I also got the drivers fender done and painted n' cleared.
I even started to clean up the passenger side to get started on that for tomorrow. I thought the whole jeep was completly original but I found a ton of bondo along the whole bottom of the tub, up as high as the bottom of the door and the JEEP logo. Most of it was 1/8" thick and some spots were as much as 3/16" thick.

Thanks, I almost got them once, just three kids on bikes prolly 15/16 y.o. the little tools woke me up making reving noises thinking it was funny. I guess they heard my truck before, I just dont understand why people would do stupid

like that. Hasnt been egged in a few weeks (knocks on wood)

I got pretty much all the welding done on the passenger side, I have one more spot then grinding. My welds still look like garbage but improving. Definitly did better on this side, I have little to no warping so that means less bondo

Got the passenger side painted, just have to clear coat it. Then I have to work on the fender. It is definitly geting there.

Got the fender done, just have to put it on the jeep. I started working on the hood, sanded it down a little. I just got to paint the middle bulge, I am painting that grey with the rest of the hood black and the doors are gonna be black.
