all i have to say is its stupid and dangerous to try to mount a 24" tire on a 24.5" rim.  if it was safe to do, all the full size street truck guys doing the semi rim converions and runing 22's and 24's would be buying stock semi rims instead of the one's that are turned down to the corect bead dieamiter and seat angle. it is just like trying to mount 16's on 16.5 rims, the bead seat area is different.
If any wants to see the diff in the bead seats, i'll take a side by side pic  to show the diff. i have the same semi rims here at the house that i useds for the centers out of for my rims.

the seat is the same on my tires. i cut 1/4 " out of the rim diameter and welded it back so it will fit the 24"tire

this guy was on chuckstrucks he didnt modify at all
My tire buds wheels 24.5 with a 24" tire  with 2 1/2 pattern welded in
He hasn't had any problems

The seats are differnt trust me, the orange rim is a 24" tractor rim and the white one is the semi,

The semi has a 15 degree bead taper and a 1/2" bead lip,

while a 24" tractor has a 5 degree bead taper and a 1 1/8 bead lip. they also may have ridges(some of the narrower ones maybe smooth) to keep the rim from spinning on the tire,

The pic you posted is a friend of rockford514 and he did not think that he had any problems but was going to ask. also the 14" width you made them to is way narrow, min speck for a 19.5l-24 is a 15", with most calling for a 16"or17" wide wheel.

ok they are diffrent the tires i got are tapered 15degrees or more i dont think one inch width
will make that much diffrence thanks for the input though ;D

your handy work looks good, and i can't blame you for trying to save money i do the same sort of things,i've worked with all kinds of tires over the last 20 years and believe me when i say i would not do that!
and if you do mount a tire on that rim you better have it bolted on to something heavy so if the tire blows off the rim wont kill you,and use a clip on chuck, better safe than a little $$

im going to use a log chain arround them.. the tire only moves out 1/2"
to seat on the rim. gong to use tubes and alot of soap on the bead.
i aint worried at all.thanks for the info
