got my jet kit in today with a new power valve, hopefully this weekend i can get it runnin a whole lot better. got a high flow 6.5 valve and thinkin bout steppin up to some #80 jets

well i was an idiot today... shoulda rechecked my paperwork on the carb.... turns out the 770s run a 72 jet, not an 85..... its way overly jetted, but runs and drives great! until the secondaries open and it starts to pop in the exhaust. droppin it down to a 70 tommorow, it at least doesnt spit and sputter with the new power enrichment valve

been dealin with alotta crap with this new motor lately between it dumping out oil from the valve covers cuz the breathers iced up to havin crazy low oil pressure....


but ive been thinkin about the summer project, cuz i know ill have to get another tcase thats rebuilt, i have 2 ways to go:
either stick with what i have and get another tcase thats the same, buy a ford kingpin 60 and do some work makin new perches to fit my sas kit.... but ford 60s are usually pretty pricey and harder to find
or, get a chevy 60, itll bolt right in to the lift, and just find a 241 pass drop case and just modify the trans crossmember to support it all..... probably easier to find and cheaper, just may take a lil more work makin the new crossmember for it

im guessin both ways would cost about the same, the pass drop case would lower driveline angles at the case(the case does hang down lower at the front ds i thought), but using a hp ford 60 will also help with that too

anybody got any imput on which way to go?

id try for a ford kingpin dana 60 just put some new perches on it so youll have better driveline angles

Technically it is on its second time around... already had to redo the top end within the first hour of having it in the truck....

Motor is comin back out tommorow like it or not and goin to the shop on friday or Saturday at the latest. Don't like it one bit but its gettin done. Spring is just around the corner and I got wheeling to do!

well with the help from my awsome buddy alec we got the motor out in a couple hours. managed to not have to put the stock tires on and take off the hood either! just a sad sad sight to see again tho.... gonna bring it down to the machine shop today

well  i may be a couple days behind on this update, but better late than never i guess

the morning after i got outta work i threw together this engine stand so i could transport it, cuz the machine shop ive been using isnt exactly round the corner lol held reall nice and steady in the back of my sisters truck

as for the motor, had to be completely torn down, gettin cleaned out to be on the safe side and then put back together, new bearings n such. just waitin on the call back to hear that its done!
