great grandpa has a jeep looks just like the first pic, exept it has tires on it... drives it all over neebish island, then takes the same way back so he can stop n pick up the parts.

Keep the picks and info coming! My father-in-law has a flatty sitting in the woods he wont give or sell to me, but I'm not giving in yet. Its a 46 cj2 with a fiberglass tub, homemade aluminum hardtop with doors, no motor, no fenders, rusty windshield, and wore out everything else. I have similar plans to yours as far as drivetrain set up. Someday!

what you planning for steering box placement? I've looked at my father-in-laws cj2 and the steering box looks like it'd be in the way for a V6.
