The plan is a 1992 gmc ext cab gutted with race seats, harnesses, cage, diamond plate dash, and a touchscreen for all power to all systems including starting the truck and turning every thing on.  Currently 8 inch springs blocked up but looking for 24 inch.  Rockwell planetary axles with 5:29 centers and 3-1 outers.  50 inch plus tires.  Double ended ram hydro streering.  Bed mounter radiator, dual batteries, fuel cell and hydro pump.  Oldsmobile 455 big block.  Looking around 450 horse and 500 f/t.  Turbo 400 trans with either a custom chain box or np200 or 205.   Body will have all the rust repaired and a fresh coat of paint.  The original plan was a the same truck with 3/4 ton axles, small block, and max of 44s but we all know how money and the right deals dictate what happens.  Looking for a reliable truck with size and decent power.   Am I on the right track?  Suggestions?

What kinda planet axles are you runnin? cant really see them in the picture but they look like pettibone axles to me, maybe out of a super 6 or 8.
Where's the BIG hole?

Marne's just outa Grand Rapids.  And the axles im not too sure of.  I was told they were out of an old rear steer loader.   All I can read on the tags are Rockwell and 5:29 ratio.

Let us know how that touch screen works out after a couple of bogs.

Yea i know, really hesitant on that but its being made for free by a company and they just asked that when they show customers there systems that they can have it as a display but it wont be often.  And im not too worried cause it will have the touchscreen that has all the buttons and also toggles on the bottom incase the screen fails.  Its an industrial screen so it will be pretty heavy duty as is.  but yea ill see how that works out.

Cage is finished.

Looks good man, glad to see you put those axles to use, looks like you just need some more lift. Its to bad I sold those springs before you could get them.

KHP8ntballer

yea still trying to hunt down a set that big i need to get it ready to run first.  Prob. just run it a season then change it up.   but yea those axles should be plenty for what im lookng for.  Thanks again Jason

Well got me a divorce 205 and some big leafs for the rear thanks to Broncoholic so now the blocking in the rear can be eliminated.  I'll post pics of the parts later.  More construction under way.
