Im in tears lol... all the ice on the river in bay city IS GONE... hum Start freezing again dang it i got one week left of vacation and i wanna be on the ice lol

i aws out there at 930 and they were hittin good till about 2, then they shut right down. you need to show where the walleye spot is

Same Spot where you were,  & in front of the Launch after dark Use big minnows & a lantern. Small Swedish pimples & small Jiggin Rapalas put some glow tape on them just do not tell anyone...

Crappies are up 5' Below the surface Walleys are down deep 35' - 45' off the ;launch where all the holes are toward the road on the drop off.

Usually get 24-26" 2-3 lb. We fish till 10PM. Do not even go out till dusk.

Has anyone heard how thick they ice is up on crystal lake or higgins lake wanting to get up there to do some smelt fishing

called the phoenix park party store [1-989-821-7220] 

said  the ice was safe down by the post offis   and expected the ice to be ok at smelt city next week  ade the fishing should pick up  soon

i have been itching  to go after smelt to

thanks for the info i think we are heading up the 15th or the 22nd. is this at higgins or crystal lake?

higgins   down by detroit  point  boat launch  i think thats what they call it

now that we have some good ice heading out to lake neppasing tomorrow morning hopefully the fish are biting this time
