My 1995 Chevy Silverado with the 5.7L TBI V8 has an issue that when I let off the gas it starts to chug-chug-chug like its going to stall or like its choking out. I presented this issue to a few people and someone suggested that I may have a bad EGR valve and that I should try to unplug it and see if it clears it up. So I went to unplug it and the little hard plastic line that goes to it broke. I am happy to say that the truck runs mint now and does not studder at all. What I am concerned about though is what are the negitive affects of running it with the EGR valve "un-plugged" like it is until I can get a new EGR valve and fix the line?

Any information would help, thanks.  GotMud?

When you have a bad egr, it creates a big vacuum leak and the computer does all sorts of things to try and compensate which leads to a number of different symptoms... aint no tellin how itll act, it varies...
