i recently bought a 350 for the truck. and the one thing i dont understands cause ive never really changed or done anything with one is a cam. apparently my motor has a 482 hydrolic lift cam. please educate me on what it is? id like to know alil more than just what kinda cam it is

cams are VERY complicated and to really explain a cam to ya it would take a lot more space than i got here, stop over or something and i'll show ya the differences and explain what the different profiles change and why they make the engine act so different with slight changes

no problem man, just remember that the cam is the biggest decision you make with the motor, and it's always better to err on the small side...

i left my deciding on one to the proffesionals.... i emailed comp directly and they gave me a cam lol

that is best way to pick cam but be prepared to give lots of info on your engine vehcile
