Hunting season didn't go as planned.

Well, this year i planned on getting a deer. Went to get doe tag and they where not open again this year (past 5 years closed) on state land. So i got buck license and went at it.. Well I saw 8 does in 3 days. Not one buck. The poor venison freezer is getting a bit empty....


ANY WHO, hows everyone elses rifle season starting off?   Mine kinda stunk as this is the only time i get to hunt because I dont really no anyone with land and the state land around flint is deadly.

Private, don't hunt state land, you run into a lot of idiots and have had zero luck, got a 100 acre farm and a 20 acre farm I hunt

whacked a doe last night. havent seen a big enough buck yet. the rest of the season isnt looking too good.

No luck this year, but saw more activity this year than years past. Even saw a Doe. It was exciting.

i shot at a 6pt, missed at 80yds, never shot the gun before, so im not too bummed, i was the only one in camp to see a deer!

In MIO I saw 2 bucks a week BEFORE opening day, came up the 18th/19, didnt see shitt.  But after driving around Bull Gap Hill area seen some deer camps with at least one buck hanging up.

It was windy as Fk on friday, never liked hunting in windy weather, saturday morning was slightly windy too.


I saw more DEER coming back, as I headed up north on friday, must be good hunting for peaple somewhere.


I'll head back up 25th to hunt one last time (until black powder opens).

just got out for rifle season yester afternoon. seen 1 buck and 3 does. to far out to hit with the small 410 gauge that i had with me. heading back out for the morning hunt on the 24th i think this time i will take the 50 cal muzzleloader out.

wife and i got a deer  mine was on thurday and hers was sat i missede a few well i killed a couple trees lol every1 in are camp got a deer and saw tons and we hunt state land and there wasnt a crap load a peps out this yr it seems

When I talked to my mom the other day she said he got a 4 point.  I don't hunt.

I got a button buck with my bow, and my dad got a big spike both on 11-11-11 about 4 hours after my grandpa passed   I think we had some help.

dont feel bad lil brother I got my first real deer with any kinda rack to brag about this year and im 42 to me hunting is more then getting deer its the fun of gong to deer camp n spending time with good people . and if one of us happends to get a deer its a bonous. next year if you dont have any where to go i'll give you an open invite to come with us

I think the reason why is people have been baiting all year so deer don't have to look for food they already know where its at, but that's my theroy

well woody i always have a spot to hunt just dont see many deer plus its to active to bait people would steal my spot
