Holley carb

This is going to be a two part question,  1st thing is I bought this Holley carb from my cousin for $50, needs rebuild, I was told it is a 650 cfm, double pumper single fuel line feed.  There is an integrated hard line crossing over from one bowl to the other with only one gas inlet on one side (or bowl), vacuum secondaries.   I will have pics this afternoon.  So I just bought redneck ohearn's 88 stepside not too long ago and it has a 355 engine, first question is is this going to be too much carb for the engine or will it be spot on.  I know an edelbrock 650 would work great but I've never messed with holleys let alone double pumpers.  Second question, where do I find numbers on it to buy a rebuild kit for this particular carb?.
Thanks,
Lost in Holleyworld!!!

I don't know a whole lot about rejetting and all that but I'm hoping I will have some choices on how much fuel delivery there will be so maybe that will  keep me from flooding the engine every time I try to start it and /or not bog it down while it is running.  I really don't want to go buy another carb if I can help it.

arnt all dubble pumpers duel feed??

after reading what you said again it got me thinking that you might not have a double pumper, so i gotta ask does it look like:

this

or this

because the second one is a dual feed/double pumper and the first one is just a regular holly and if it the same as the first one you should be fine.

also you might want to let us know what you or sombody else has done to the motor, because that will be able to let us help you out better.

i havent ever seen a single feed dubble pumper look at the bottom of the carb and see if it has one pump or 2
this is a dubble pumper a single will olny have 1 pump

It definitely looks like the first one,  ok so there's one thing figured out, as far as the engine i would have to get with Randy to get mire info on it.  I could only speculate to say its mildly built.  I know its a 350 bored .030 over.  I don't even know if they are flatops, domed, or dished,  I believe he said it was a mild cam,  other than that I don't know unless I tear it all apart.   So where would the numbers on the carb be that I need anyway?

Ya know I never really looked at the bottom of it,  years ago I was told never to turn a Holley upside down, is this true?

Actually I took the list number to advance auto today and they brought out there catalog and it is a 650.  Series 4165.  The renew kit is $42.00, trick kit is $120.00. I opted for the trick kit.
