Proof that its not all what they say is jacking prices up. Its just hard to buy anything with a paper dollar (IOU) thats worth 98% less than it was in 1913. Want to slow down sky rocketing prices? Audit/eliminate the Federal Reserve/Central Bank system for its 100th anniversary next year. (yep, in 100 years they have devalued our currency by 98%.. thats skill.)
With current prices if we were still using the gold & silver coins (not saying its the best way) gas is less than 20 cents a gallon.

you know its funny, the two main things that make this country run are not federally operated, 1)the us post office and 2)the "federal" reserve

Not so funny, yet it is true lol.

Edit: But also a good thing in a way... competing currency's is a good thing and the government really shouldnt control the currency (and it doesnt) the problem is they only gave one bank the permission to print money and that bank has no oversight. They just do what they want. If anyone else starts making a currency in this country they get in trouble (like the guy making Ron Paul coins in 08').

Having paper money wouldnt be all that bad if it was regulated correctly. Since they are just IOU's for the gold thats "supposedly" in fort knox, the more bills their are the less they worth. If they quit printing our way threw wars and out of debt and just doing it by cutting budgets and etc we would be fine. Also if when they printed new bills they took the equal amount of old bills out of circulation we would be fine. Anything else causes inflation and that makes prices go up on everything.

yep. If we are lucky the budget could be balanced in 5 years... then I wana say it was 25 years to get out of debt (at what they admit it is right now [bs] and assuming nothing bad happens in the next 25 years)

Ya this gas prices suck and they say its going to get even worse.I can't wait until I can drive my bike and not spend so much on gas. I'm going to have to save money and buy me a little truck like an s10.my 4x4 is starting to kill me on gas.

See they did it.....   No matter what the price is we will still pay for it.. guess what.. my car is going no where this week besides the mounds on sunday if i can find a ride around. That is how i manage.. I not afraid to ask for a friend from the neighbor if there leaving.

i know how that feels, i went from driving a merc grand marquis with 2:73s in the rear, got 29 mpg all day on the hwy, my blazer with a 5spd barely manages 15, so i cut my mileages in half, just a few weeks before the gas crunch really started, sad sad thing

thats for when there is a big huge thing that makes gas station owners worry so they jack the price way up than what it should be.
