the red ta has had work done to it, interior and from the sounds of it a few bolt ons... if ya got the money go with that one, the camaro's and firebirds and trans am's and built off the same sub chases, so as for what's faster or handels better is dependent on what package they came with and what's been added or modified to them... have built a few "F" bodies.. lots of fun...!!!!

the trans ams were supposed to be the high end of the f bodies... leather.. t tops or convertables.. bigger sway bars, baseically a bunch of little things to jack the price up, but the end of the line ws6's were killer on looks and had power to make ya smile

x2   i had a 2000 ws6  a few years back and that car was a blast.  and for being an auto/stock  it was fast.  i worked with a kid that had the same year vette that i lined up with one night.  figured  i would get my ass handed to me.  his car just seemed alot faster and well he had a lil weight advantage over me.   was i shocked when we took off and i pulled away like it was nothing

LS1 is a more powerful and lighter engine. lt1 is older more finicky technology.
