i took the suburban down the road a couple days ago... 6.2l 700r4. It shifted first to second about 2800 rpm but it held 2nd to 3200 for 10-15 seconds til i punched it down n let off then it shifted. Then ran out of fuel. Lol. Anyways anyone that knows me knows i hate automatics but gotta deal with it for a while. Do 700s have the cable that comes down from the throttle? If so how do you adjust it i did it once bout six years ago cant remember.

Yes they do and yes it MUST be hooked up or you'll burn it up.  Just do a youtube search for the adjustment.  There are several videos on the subject.  I'm not a fan of automatics either!  Good luck!

Yes.  Its got a little button to adjust.  But it must be hooked up.  It keeps pressure on the clutches.

x2!! that cabel controls 100% of your fluid pressure without that your clutches don't get any fluid, hook it up, hit the button and slowly pull it to wot.. then slowly let it back down, that's supposed to adjust it right, but double check to make sure that it's tight tight at wot after that, !!!!

yes push down button, if yours has the little plastic nipple thing that the cable goes thru, slide it up cable towards the linkage, while holding the button down slowly go wot then release button then slide nipple thing back in and slowly release throttle closed
