Getting married!

Thats right it is going to happen, she asked me on the 4th of July and I said with out a doubt absolutely 100% I will spend my life with you! Date is set for next 4th of July, it is not going to be a $50,000 wedding like you see on TV and we will actually need some help to pull this off. She does not want a fancy wedding and just wants to get married outside like in a park, we can cover that but the one thing she does want is an off the hook reception where everyone there will always remember it!

(Calling all got mud members) we will need a DJ, Caterer, someone who can bake a nice cake (Might have that covered already) place to have the reception. We will be buying all the alcohol and lots of it lol. So if any of you DJ or have a caterer in the family or do it yourself and could give us a discount or if you have access to a hall or place to have a reception, ect, any and all help will be appreciated in putting this together, this is going to be our first and only wedding so we have no clue as to what to do or how to plan it hence why I am getting on it early.

That date is set the place is not however, just because we live in GR does not mean we need to get married in GR or have the reception here, I have a few friends who also live in Flint and Lansing, I am almost thinking of having it in Lansing that would be the halfway mark between GR and Flint.

just remember you are not getting married for your friends,  Where you have your wedding doesn't mean it has to be the most convenient location for friends and family.  You want it somewhere you both decide and somewhere you will always remember.  I love outdoor weddings,   My cousin recently got married in Marquette, yeah one heck of a drive for us, but well worth it, it was actually the same place that her parents got married, right by the beach, over looking the cliffs    and yeah we all went cliff diving afterwards too   ohh and other than gas money to drive there and back it was very low budget, so yes look at all your options on where to go, Don't sacrifice one place for another that you both love, The best thing about having the wedding outside is that it cost almost nothing, so go all out on the place   It's the receptions that cost a lot.
