but in no way should firearms be blamed for this..........if it wasnt guns being used..........it could have been a time bomb............or something else..............guns just get a bad rap becuase they are the most common TOOL to kill with. 300 years ago or less.........you could have been killed with a sword............how many peaple run around now with swords killing other peaple............

1. You can only get CPL's now and this theater was a Gun Free Zone aka even CPL holders can not carry.

2. You can't carry a sword without a CCW (any concealable weapon). Which was the reasoning for them changing the permit to a CPL (concealed pistol).

your looking at it wrong, how many of us own guns? how many people you know own guns? just because they don't have a cpl doesn't mean someone doesn't own a gun. what I am saying is that if gun laws were to go away more people would carry, NOT go out a buy a gun. If I owned a gun and didn't have a cpl and gun laws went away you can bet your ass I would carry everywhere, there would be a lot more that 2 or 3 people with guns in that theater.

ohhh and if they made cocaine legal tomorrow.... Id be all over that

I know just as many people who wouldnt carry even if it was legal as I do who would carry 24/7. Some people are just not as paranoid as the rest of us?

you missed my last point......300 years ago swords were commonly used to kill than firearms....because guns were more expensive to buy. Over time guns slowly got cheaper to produce....and aquire.

Now peaple use guns because its more simple to pull a trigger than learn how to use a blade.

I'm never the first or last to jump on conspiracy theory's... always wait for the real facts to pile up... still undecided on this one. Just like 9/11 I'd hate to think our own goverment would do it... but at the same time it would not surprise me.
