Sounds like a great idea to me.   I wish I had the money to put a cage in my truck so I could teach my nephews and nieces.

Swampthing

well, i have the perfect truck to try this with...

I got thinking about this after a recent trip through my play pit at the house.   (last month of course). My passenger was my cousin who had never been in a mud truck, he loved the h*ll right outta it.    if he had that much fun riding.. wonder how much fun he woulda had driving.

After thinking more about this, I think guided off road tours could be cool, have a yard full of beaters for rent, have people follow you around the mounds

Teach young drivers the in's and out's off offroad driveing

Allow a sober driver at ALL times

I also think an onboard camera would be fun to watch the arguement's that would go on inside the cab  ;D

if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all. Your entitled to your opinion but when you make it personal thats not cool.
You can only go as far as your truck will take you

Bigdaddy has a vary good point i think this is a vary good idea not only to try and make it safer but can be alot of fun for people who would like to just try it
Go big or go home

It would be cool. Make it so you can disconnect that second brake so when you are driving it a passenger who gets scared doesn't stomp on a brake for you!  a=f

Liability insurance would be stupid high.. and you would have to carry it, cause sure enough some JA** would try and sue you over a broken fingernail.

cool idea though.

mutt truck

I think that most of the people that go to a mud bog or go for a ride know right then and there if they want to become a part of it.
I think is q good idea but how many people' would be able to afford to rent one of these trucks, repairs are sometimes costly in our sport so you would probably need to charge a decent amount to cover possible damage. Could become more trouble than its worth.

redneck taylor

This sounds like a great ideal for younger kids I know that some of them don't have parents that are into this sport and would love to learn and it would make bogs a lot safer places because they would know when its safe to be full throttle and etc... not everyone has been brought up around it and for the older people yeah some can't afford to build them they are expensive and u don't have to build a horse powered crazy mud truck for a person  just starting out to drive just a nice soild Well put together truck low mantaince truck. Charge a desent price to rent like 300 would work and put a set revlimter in it to protect the motor and go to the bog and keep a eye on your truck and have a good time teaching them and making new freinds
the way i look at it u line it up hit it and its either goin to come out the other side blow up or get stuck

fordrunner

I think its a good idea we normally try to keep a beater around at our bog for who ever wants to drive it lost a couple good trucks that way lol its worth it thow for the new bees the look in there eyes when u say the keys are in it GotMud?
