Is it possible to hook an np205 transfer case to a turbo 400 tranny and if it is possible what do i need to hook it up

they have adapters for that combination,they came from the factory that way might try a junk yard, if the 400 is out of a 2wd you can hook up a divorsed 205 with a small drive shaft or just a u joint.

You need  a 205 that came off of a th400.  they have a 32 spline male input.  You also need the correct output shaft for the transmission or a tranny that came from a 205 and the th400 to 205 adapter.  You can find the adapters and the output shafts on ebay.  The adapter will run 150-200.  I picked up an output shaft for 75.  It is much easier if you can find a th400 and 205 together but they are getting harder to come by and they are usually kind of pricey.

They have a couple different types of 4x4 32spline trannys. They short output shaft (1.5") came off a 205. The shaft is too short to interlock with a standard 205 input shaft. So you either have to get the longer 205 input shaft, or get the 4x4 32spline  th400 tranny with the longer output shaft. I forget the measurement.
