I finally did more to the trailer before winter was here didnt do much but I got it painted. Then today I went to detroit and picked up two 7' long storage boxes. need the get new locks on them so I can lock it since they didnt come with the keys. heres a pic of the boxes. Plan to get it finished up this spring so we can go to TGW this year.

I picked up a breakaway kit and a few more amber side marker lights. Got them all mounted just need to get everything wired up. I should be getting the deck boards in a couple weeks money permitting and stack them somewhere dry and in the spring I will get them installed. Then get it weighed and get a title, vin number and plate for it so I can start using it.

no problem I have seen a few of them after I thought of making this thought maybe I was going to be the only one lol. I want to make it so the camper is removable so I can haul anything I need to on it also.

Ordered the deck boards today hoping to pick them up Friday from the saw mill. Got all the lights and breakaway kit installed just have to wire them up. Wish my garage was 20 ft longer so I could work on it in the heat. Hoping to get it weighed and ready to get inspected and go to SOS in a few weeks. Then wait for the vin number to be issued. Have to thank big Frank he got me the boards cheap.

Crazymays77

Well I did some measurements on my truck camper and the eye bolts to secure it to the truck are 6 ft apart and those storage boxes are 7 ft long so I have to do some thing about that. Hoping I can move the eye bolts on the camper further apart. Have to figure that out this spring when I put it on the trailer. Hoping to have the trailer wires up and decking on tomorrow if the saw mill has my boards done today. If not next weekend I'll finish it up.

Crazymays77

since it doesnt fit in the garage i set up my canopy and turned the heat on and used the propane heater. worked good just had a big gap where the canopy didnt touch the garage door. Last pic is the plastic block I made at work to make wiring it easier.

Crazymays77

I'll have to do this next weekend when I get my boards and deck it.

Thanks now i need to figure out something for fenders. I want to use boards for them but the tires stick out 2" hoping the new rims and tires are in further which will fix that problem. Then I have to weigh it and call the police to get it inspected and then apply for a title and vin number.

BigFrank

looks  good   I see ya had some extra boards

Crazymays77

yeah I have 10 ash boards left and 1 oak board but im going to try to use that oak board for fenders today just have to go get valve stems so i can mount the tires on the rims and hope they are closer to the frame then the stock ones.

Crazymays77

Well I finished it up today. Mounted the tires on the rims and made fenders. I put a piece under the center support to get a little more room for the tires. Might go with something thicker so I have more room.

I'm done with it for now. Going to try to get it inspected this week and then go get a plate.
