ice fishing...

Anybody been out ice fishing yet in genesee county?    I'm thinking bout heading out this afternoon or tomorrow morning, just trying to get an idea how the ice is

Granted I'm farther north but I was out 2 weeks ago with 2"s or good clear ice and 4"s of white crappie ice

I heard sag. Bay is putting out lots of wallie somewhere around 200ppl out there today...too crowded for my liking lol

saginaw river has anywere from 6-8 inches a ice threw out the whole river and today at the independence bring there were 300+ shanty on the ice word has it they are gettin out on the bay 3-4miles and they have 12+ inches a ice but the cracks are startin to work with this wind up here ill be sittin on the saginaw river tommorow somewere the wallys are in and biting just gotta be at the right place when they turn on havent heard much about the perch bite in a week or so but the locals around here dont give up that info very much except to say they caught a bucket full so if ya get out goodluck and tite lines man
