Picked up a 99 grand Cherokee for the wife to drive

Apparently it was for me to fix up a little first lol

Anyway. It has the 4.7 v8. Was putting new plugs in it

The #7 coil broke off and is down in the hole

How do I get it out. Need this finished today. I've soaked it with on blaster

I have limited tools here at home

best bet is a bolt extractor (spiral kind). They sell sets up at autozone. Once you get it done, I'd run away from that 4.7 fast. I wasn't aware there were any left that still ran.
They also sell a tool specifically for this job for a ford, not sure if the plug size is the same. That tool is like $80 anyways. Did the porcelain part fall inside the cylinder? if so you'll probably want to pull the head, porcelain doesn't burn in the combustion chamber.... thats why they make the plug out of it and it's highly unlikely it'll escape through the exhaust port.

reading that again, you said the coil broke off, not the plug? I would think you could run a screw or self tapping bolt into the remaining part of the coil and pull it out with some pliers.

Got it thanks though. I just soaked it with pb. Then busted the pieces out... Removed the rubber from the coil.... Took the plug out
