Question for the Jeep experts

[95-Jeep]

I have a 99 grand Cherokee limited

Rear end went out
Bought a used one
Pulled the one it if the Jeep, cover is round appears to be a Dana 35
Replacement diff has a hexagon shape Dana 44
What one is supposed to be there?
All my info shows a 44

call the dealer with the vin ,they can tell you what came in it

Dealer said Dana 44. So the one I bought is going in.
