Thanks guys nice to hear.
Yeah I know its not that big or loud compaired to some other rigs, but my thre yearold named it, and when I got it, it was only runnin resonators no mufflers so it was like twice as loud, now u can kinda listen to music in it, lol sometimes

I'm learning the same lesson...that being, you'll never be the biggest and loudest ( unless you have endless cubic dollars!) but have fun building your own rig in each stage. Learn a lot as you go, don't make the same mistake twice and enjoy the time with your kids while you're out wheeling!! That's how it works for me anyway...my son loves bogging. Music usually covers up the squeaks and rattles too!
I also have a full float 14 bolt rear in the garage, but I really need a 60 front in the worst way, although the 10 bolt front has held up ok so far, only one broken shaft this season, I just try to not turn lol!
Yeah my three yr old son runs around all day making motor sounds as loud as he can, and says he's big loud, its haliarious. My 9 yr old loves it too, but my 12 yr old is more into girls lol. But they all come out boggin. We love it.

That's good stuff. How funny! Fender flares would prolly look good on your rig too.
Well had to weld up one of the exhaust brakets, one of them broke and my exhaust was saggin bad, then after that I developed a leak on the header. Just tighteded that up for now, ill get a new gasket and change it in the next few days. Its always something. Lol

I know what you're saying about getting out of work......I need to get my tires on and been working too damn much! Header bolts seem pretty easy to deal with in terms of rust or any seizing up?
The bolts will deff come out, they were so loose they almost fell out lol, had to pull oven n tighten them the other day in the snow storm

Yea, the tires will deff stick out some more. Any body know max backspacing I can run with out spacers?
16.5. Stock right now
if you run 4" backspacing in the front and 2" backspacing in the rear...the truck will track the same.....meaning the tires will stick out the same amount front and rear.

Well, I finally got my tcase back last night. If all goes as planned I should have it in on Sunday, and should have the body mount up front fixed too!...then it will be all ready to beat on at budget boggers bog on the 16th!

Well, broke the front driveshaft at pickney bog. Gonna order an ORD shackle flip kit and extended greasable shackles and loose my helper spring and get some 2inch blocks. Guy at ORD said it should flex like crazy.
Oh yeah, reason I'm doing shackle flip is cause my shackle brackets are bent to p00. so gotta pull them off anyways,
just gotta remember, crazy flex also equals crazy body roll also
Off road, flex = good loll
Borrowing a front driveshaft from Sam, its about a half inch longer then mine. Gonna see if it'll work tonight. I might make it to turkeyday after all! ++peace ++peace

So after the shackle flip the axles now too far forward making the rear driveshaft too long, so I'm gonna use the offset in the 0 rate add a leaf to move the rear axle an inch back, that should fix the issue
Got the axle moved back an inch and shimmed 1.5* still have a slight vibration at crusing speed, but only when I let off the gas. Gonna put my buddys angle finder on it and see if I can't fine tune it a bit. Don't really want to get a cv shaft.

.
Shafts one yr old, and I hit 80mph with no vibration on the way to the garage b4 the flip, deff not that ken
Sam and I changed the upper and lower kingpins on the pass. side today, gonna do the drivers side next weekend hopefully
Got the carb rebuild kit and new spacer in from Summit. Now to see if we can't make the secondaries work for this year. That should help free up some ponies loll
Vibrations go away?
There better/masked with the real tires on it, so I'm gonna worry about it after tgw. Gonna do a s.y.e. on my 208 with some dodge parts and see if the xtra length will gimme better angles. My rear pinion is 2 degrees off, but I can't get any more pitch w/o messing up my angle on the dshaft u joints.
Trucks not running right. Keeps backfiring thru carb, did compression test and it was at 150psi in all the cylinders. Gonna throw a new chip in the distributer and prob throw a buddies carb on to see what's goin on.
Got the carb issues all straightened out. Could prob jump up a few jet sizes, but I'm not gonna mess with it till after tgw. But on a good note, the 4bbls are opening for the 1st time ever.....deff seems to help a lil bit.
applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd applaudd
Gotta do last minute carb tuning b4 tgw. Can't wait tho. Hav nt gotton to test out the new suspension yet.
Ran great at TGW. I love the new rear suspension, and havin 4barrels! loll
Finally did some engine compartment mud proofing today. Way over due LOL. Hope to test it out next Saturday.
Well, this truck got totalled by some dumb chick who rear ended me. Just picked up an 87 that barely has any rust. Still has factory paint on the frame. Let the build begin.
Excellent!
Just read through the build. Sweet K5 ++peace
New Body Is Cleeeeeeeeean Can't Wait To See It In Person
Got the front clip, motor, trans, what's left of the tcase, and drive shafts out. Rear shaft seems to be straight. Trans isn't broken, just the adaptor plate to t case. So have most of what I need. Might need one 16.5 x 9.75 rim. 8 lug.
==awesome
Think there some gm16.5 in the for sale section. Don't think they sold!
Really just need one maybe two.
Got old rig all tore down except for few minor things and roll cage. Started doing floors on new rig, and got front axle and suspension outta it. Will be starting the lift and one ton install tonight. Pics will be on facebook since I don't use my computer anymore LOL
Updates Sally?
Not much has happened. Its home for a couple months. Gotta order more floor pans for the rear and a few cross braces. Install cage, t case, tie in cage, rear bumper, d shafts, install interior and body lift.
Got her mostly together about ready to fire. Still needs some rear floor work, body lift, cage, and interior. Got the rear pinion changed gtoday thanx to Sam, and got the drive shafts in and fuel cell in. Gonna be. Hay tomorrow but shouldget seats and shifter in Friday. And Maybe rear bumper this weekend.
Truck had been finished and bogging for about 5 years now
