well finely decided to SAS the ranger so i mise well start a project thread. starting soon as the mounds closes
i got a coil dana 44 and 9in cupple weeks back gunna put a mini spool in the rear and new ujoints in the front and run my 34s for now intill i can get a set of 36-38s

plateing the bottm of the rear axle so i dont cave it in on rocks lot more to do just ran out lf grinding wheels loll

looks like a good start! why not just weld the spiders all up instead of buyin a mini spool?

you cant do that on a 9in. cant even see the spiders in the carer and i just ordored the mini spool it was olny 22 bucks

ah gotcha. never worked with 9in before. and 22 bucks is cheap as hell!

yea that ones a lil diffrent then mine his is pre 98 they have ttb front axle so there almost bolt in mine has tbar ifs so i have to cut everything out and the hardest part is that mine dont have a steering box 98 and up use rack and pinion so im gunna put a box on it from a 78 bronco and im going with coil front for flex

got some more parts today got rims and ujoints for the front gunna get them changed tomorrow i really want to put a spool in the front but everyone keeps telling me not to

well i got some more done on this i got the springs for the front,got the spool in the rear, painted it all up and got the front tore down need to put ujoints in it then pick up a steering box and its ready to go in!

got some more done on this tonight the rear axle is in all the ifs is gone just need to cut everything off the frame

well i picked up a steering box for it today and got the frame plated where it needs to go and got the axle panted

welded the front diff today so now i have true 4wd lol hope to get the steering box mounted in the next cupple days trying to be done for bondy bog on the 7th but i dont know still have a lot of work to do

worked on it today for 15 hours its geting close!
need to build shock mounts front and rear
build front drive shaft
blead the brakes
put oil in the axles
and mount my tires!

all thats left is rear shocks powersteering flued, put the belt on the motor and mount my rear tires!!

I've replaced 3 sets of radius arm bushings in my Bronco's, or should I say Les Shuab did, two sets of axel pivot bushings, not to mention constant alignments.  Thank you TTB, you will never miss that garbage. Anyhow that thing is looking stout.

well mine was a 2000 so it dident have ttb it was torsion bar ifs i have a 5.0 in it so i keep brakeing cv shafts and this truck dident have a steering box it was rack and pinion so i had to put on in it

well took it to the bog today it all seams to work fine but now it wont run no fuel presure so i need a pump and i also melted a powersteering line on the header and almost cought fire!

Right now we are getting all the sand cleaned out that somehow made its way into the gas tank and putting in a new fuel pump. Hopefully we can get it to run good. We tested the preussure at the bog and it didnt have very good fuel pressure.

nice work i like ranger builds.  Im into working on them too, its always nice to see how other people do things.
