you can build it for a 1/3 of that cost if you go with the boiler tube

camok10

Ya I just want to get it together for right now though. I can always take measurements and stuff to with the leaf springs in and that way it will be perfectly square too. I think this winter ill get it together and refine it next

Well found a front axle a low pinion 44  out of a 77 ford 250 today, also got the stuff I needed to re mount rear leaf springs. And took a pic today of the fleet of 88-98's I've got starting along with my lonely 84 in the back ground

The body is in good shape by the look's for the most part. Front axle location prolly explain's why whoever started building decided to get rid of it lol. Look's like youll have a good build and am looking forward to this.
Never ending project's. 97 chevy sas'd 12'' lift lot's of goodies.

What you plan on running for tires?

camok10

I'm hopeing it'll go smooth just gotta work on saving up that money. And for tires I'm not Shure yet something in the 36-38" range maybe some mill surplus on a 16" till I can get some tsl's. this week here it's probably getting sat on the 35" procomps on my blue truck.

Well the tahoes frames out by about 1-1/2" so it's getting parted so time to tear apart a perfectly good truck that just needs a rear end

97 Chevy z71 Vortec 350 true duals with flows hypertech k&n filter trick flow t.b. space and hopefully by spring a 6 lug sas with a 77 ford 44 and factory 10 bolt may try and find a sf 14 for it but that can always be changed later

Already have the front axle a set of 6 lug outer, ord shackle flip and 6.5" super shackle are on there way going to also put in a 4" block and ord 0 rate add a leaf to net 10" of lift rear. Front is yet to come but going to be ord sas kit, 8" 73-87 front spring. Along with the ord cross over steering set up an a ried racing/ dedinbear flat top knuckle. After that all that will be left will be to figure out shock length and mounting, and figure out length for a set of 81-87 ext brake lines since I will be using calipers for that year truck should be a blot on and go there. Hopeing to be out of this for under 3000 including truck purchase price. Minus wheels tires and gears it should be very do-able
