BTW Windshield was in back of jays when they loaded it, Herb said they threw it outta the jeep when it first happened, it was bloody,it was on Jays lap  Herb said he seen it in the back of the jeep ,complete with a got mud sticker on it, so no one left a windshield out there...

glad jay was okay glad that the dump thing was cleared up I guess somebody spoke too soon and assume the negativity that they saw  but never saw them pick it up and threw it in the back of the jeep

What are the wood sticks you're talking about using. I've never seen one used. I usually try to double over a strap rather than shackle it together. I'd like to see what you are talking about.

thank you guys for cleaning up. I'm glad to hear the glass was not left out there, or very little was left (i know glass goes everywhere when it shatters). I know a lot of kids play in the mud and ive been cut bad my glass, and it is NOT fun at all. i would hate to see Brett or any of the other kids get cut out there!

always remember if you can put your hood up when being pulled from the front do it! i'd rather replace a $600 hood on a new truck than a windsheild and possibly my face

better yet...dont hook straps togethor unless there is absolutley no other way (there usually is) and WEIGHT THE STRAP DOWN! cary an old towel with you and soak it in a nearby mud hole (theres water everywhere) and toss that over the middle of the strap, if nothing else..

there are alot of simple things you can do to make recovery alot safer, these accidents shouldnt happen as often as they do...the most important thing...everyone needs to PAY ATTENTION...aand I dont mean to just what you and the peole you are with are doing, pay attention to what other people are doing...if you see someone doing something unsafe, then let them know, and tell them a better way to do it...

i  even  picked  up the  glass  that  was  in the  mud  hole  were  he  was  stuck  so  no  one  would  cut  a tire  if they  went  in it  yes  we  all  care  about the  mounds  but  first  thing  was to  get  jeep  and  jay   out  safly  no  one  stuck  around to  seethe  clean up  after  it  was  out.

glad to here jay is ok something like that can be very bad but myself i would like to see what is being talked about with the stick thing. maybe we can have a recovery 101 on thanksgiving day while everyone is out there..??  just a suggestion and is something that everyone including myself needs to learn before we do have a tradigy out there..

ill try  to  explane  it  u  have  2  straps  take  1  stap  place  it  trew  the  loop  of  the  other  just  like  u would  be  doubling it back  now  u have  1  strap  that  has  an  open  end  on  it  lay  it  on  top  of  it  self  now  pull  that  strap  trew  the  opening  place  stick  between  opening  and  the  strap  u  just  pulled  threw  and  sinch  it down  by  pulling  on  it  as hard  as  u can  now  when  u  have  safley  pulled  out  the  stuck  truck    just  pull  the  stick  out  and  u  have  2  straps  instead  of  1  long  1  notted  2 getter  easier  2  show  it then  2  tell  it  on  here  ill  be  out  at  the  mounds  sunday    if  u  see  my  blazer  ill  be happy  2  show  u
