You could have someone make you up some tow points or have a Reese Hitch installed front and rear.

what should i use in the front if i don't hane a reese

Eroq

you should have the stock tow hooks. which will work fine, if you arent getting yanked on real hard. they are pretty strong, but i believe theyre cast?

betterbeaters

I used my stock tow hooks all the time if you dont got them go buy some and bolt them up!

Sorry Betterbeaters but I disagree with you on this...
I prefer to NOT use the stock tow hooks or any open ended hook, the name says why - TOW hooks.
Just like straps, you don't use a TOW strap for recovery, you use a snatch/recovery strap
(different ratings) except in emergency situations, and bombing around a mudbog or ORV trail does not consitute an emergency.

Their is a reason for the names, towing vs. recovery. Yes you will probably get by with using TOW hooks, but I've straightened heavy stock Chevy TOW hooks.

Best bet, hook a screw clevis thru the hole for your ball on a reciever (reciever should be bolted and/or welded to the vehicle)
Frontal recovery - install (weld) a reciever inbetween the frame rails OR hook a screw type clevis thru a hole in the frame (Caution: potential for frame damage here) for added safety on a frontal recovery - open your hood, this will deflect a strap before it goes thru a windshield.

Remove any non essential people from the area - in other words, if your not hangin on to a steering wheel GET AWAY!!!
And that means to get AT LEAST twice as far away as the strap is long.  30' strap - get or move everyone at least 60' away, preferably behind something solid.
This is serious people.. people die from mishaps, I know, we had a member of our club killed from a mishap, I take this very seriously and you should too.. the laws of physics DONT CARE how soft your skull is..

I watch videos on sites all the time of some knothead standing 10' from a strap during a recovery.. and other people standing around watching it happen including the ones doing the recovery and it infuriates me to no end.  Don't get me wrong, I'm up for a good "Yahoo" just like anybody else, and yea if yer ridin in mine, I'll scare ya..   but this is something that shoudnt happen.

End of rant..

good example of what NOT to do

good point hammerlane...  I will have to look to see how I can put a different hook point on my s-10 now! but I dont think putting a clevis through a single walled frame is very safe I have seen lots of them riped out...

Agreed hence the -> (Caution: potential for frame damage)

but would consider it a better option than an open ended hook.
