I had a '85 CJ-7 back in the winter of 87-88 in Memphis...it snowed, just a little, but everybody freaked out, they closed the schools and businesses.  I drove around all weekend, pulling people out of ditches for ten bucks...Paid for my gas, eats all weekend and made enough to buy some nerf bars for my Jeep!  I had one guy go in the ditch between the roads on a divided highway...I stopped and asked if he needed help...he said yes...I looked at his car, a big old heavy buick electra 225...he didn't look stuck to me, so I asked him if I could try to drive it out...he said, "Sure, but it's stuck good!"  I got in, rocked it back and forth 2 or 3 times, then drove it right out and on to the side of the road.  He was all happy and excited until I asked for ten dollars for my services...He said,"you didn't even hook up to the car!"  I told him,"I can put it back for you..."  He gave me the ten bucks...

I will stop and help any time I am able to, can't let a bad experiance stop you from helpin' out!  I like to help, gives a good impression of the mud boggers when they see us using our rigs for something other than tearin' up the pits!
Some days, it ain't worth chewin' through the straps...

I like to think what goes around comes around and I try to help when I can, sometimes I got work or other obligations where I can't really help, or I am not equipped to help them out.

i will stop and help anyone on the side of the road... just in the winter. if anyone here been bogging with me i will pull them out if my truck is not over heating. i remember this bog on delany road 2 years ago i pulled a hummer out and he gave me $100 and told me to take the GF out to dinner lol.  applaudd  then i told him to buy a real truck haha last yeah when we got that snow i pulled 13 people out of driveways/side of the road and i didnt take any money. i told them i was doing it cause i was bored :P

When I was a kid, I used to drive up and down our roads around the farm in our Allis Chalmers 190XT pulling stranded people out. Those were good times. First one I pulled out that winter was my dad! loll Told him he shoulda got 4x4!

I always stop if its a situation where i can help, i was helped the second week i had my licence i was showing off to my friends in my 87 dodge, dropped into 2nd and poped the clutch to fish tail down a dirt road, haha naturally i lost control and went into the swamp on the side of the road, had a rear tire bout 2 foot off the ground and the fronts totally burried in swamp muck. haha found out fast it didnt have a locker! had a guy stop and help me out so im workin on the karma! had a cocky guy in a lowered s-10 bury himself in a ditch right by my house during a snow storm, i stopped, hooked up and pulled, anytime i got i decent pull he would turn his wheel and make me lose all momentum, i did it bout 3-4 times and had to explain to him he was messin it up. gos to show just because you got a custom lil truck dont mean you know what the hell you doing!
