People please use good brain cells when attaching pull points on your rig, its a life your death situation! and always use straps ! chains are for towing and tying down stuff.    hope all a safe and fun filled easter weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lets take this 1 step further..

What kinda pull points do you have on your rig - front and back

Mine - Rear - 6" drop bumper, bolted with grade 8's, I made a pair of reinforced brackets that are welded from the bottom 3/4" plate to the truck frame
Front - stock Chevy hook -- LOOSE THESE, they are a bad idea, I now have a reciever hitch for the front, just need to cut/fit/weld onto the frame horns

Over the Edge Sharpening systems, cutlery, shear, scissor sharpening

It's all fun and games till someone gets knocked up.. down or out !
Gone postal.. back in a minute!

my last truck ran a reciever in the front and rear, front was part of the frame, rear was in the bumper, both welded solid...new truck will be basically the same....

on my nephews truck that we are working on now, it will have a reciever in the rear that is part of a crossmember (after we cut off some of the frame) and I havent thought too much about the front yet, but it will get a reciever too...

I think the rear pull point is more important then the front...if you get stuck, you should try to pull it back out the way it came in first...in front of the truck is obviously something the truck doesnt want to go through...like a wall of mud you pushed up in front of it as you were trying to get through....

i have 3/8 c-channel from side to side with 3/8 plate in between that c-channel that you cant see in the pic. then i have 4 braces going back tieing back into the frame. the angle iron dont help much but its welded in real good. you also can see that i bent the frame around the main peice of c-channel for the heck of it. i got pulled out tons of times by it with no signs of bending or cracks in the welds

TOMAC

older pic. the rear is 1 or 1 1/8 thick  cant remmber off hand but that is welded and bolt with grade 8 bolts and what you cant see that have 3/8 angle iron tied farther back into the frame.  that is all attached to boxed 3/8 thick  square tubing. its all welded up tight. and the d-rings welded real tight. a guy and 44s was yanking one of them and another guy on 40s was yanking on the center at the sametime!! with no troubles :)
