Got my recovery strap today  ;D 6" x 30' with looped ends 55,000lb.

I also got a few washers for my clevis to keep the pin centered as shown in pic.

Now I just need a big block, 12 inches of lift, 44's, lockers, NOS, dana 60, ect ect ect ect ect ect ==roll

a side note. that I brought up before.

I have noticed that receivers rated at 10,000lbs are solid or are built out of double tubes.

I would look for some smaller tube and plug weld it where your flat stock starts and weld the ends.

Since you used 3/8 thick wall you are fine. I just measured two of mine and the 10k one measures 3/8 for both tubes and the single tube measures 3/16.

I don't want someone to think one tube is ok and neglect the difference in wall thickness.


I like how you used the spacers. it is nice to see things done the proper way.
